Please BEWARE of OTHER Household Oil Presses that say Cold Press or Hot/Cold Press, virtually all of these are false claims and they don’t even know what Cold Pressed means. For Cold Pressed Oil, the temperatures during the pressing process never exceed 110-120 degrees Fahrenheit. Traditional Asian Presses are all Hot Presses – You can tell a Hot Press, because they heat up extremely hot very fast (360-400 degrees) and the oil gets boiling hot, sometimes there is smoke that can be seen coming from the machine as the seeds are pressed into oil, also the pulp that comes out is very crispy and crunchy and sometimes even burnt. The oil in these type of presses has very little nutritional value and in addition they are a lot of work and messy to use. They are typically not easy to put together and take apart and hard to clean. They may even require screwdrivers and wrenches each time you use them.
