[What is Kava?]

Kava, also known as piper methysticum, kava kava, and ‘awa, is a small shrub native to the islands in the South Pacific. The root and stems are made into a non-alcoholic, psychoactive beverage that has been used socially and ceremonially for hundreds of years in Hawaii, Fiji, and Tonga.

Kava is traditionally prepared by placing ground root and stem into a porous sack, submerging in water, and squeezing the juice into a large, carved, wooden bowl. Coconut half-shell cups are dipped and filled — punch bowl style. After drinking a cup or two a feeling of heightened attention combined with relaxation begins to come on. Although it is soothing, it is unlike alcohol in that thoughts remain clear. The flavor is largely inoffensive, but some find that it takes getting used to; it really depends on your preference for earthy flavors.

[Kava is Safe to Use]

The safe and effective benefits of kava to relieve symptoms of anxiety were also supported in a meta-analysis, a systematic statistical review of seven human clinical trials published in 2000 in the Journal of Clinical Psychopharmacology, and again in a similar critical review in 2001. The reviews did not find significant adverse effects related to liver toxicity.

This is an attempt to make White Chocolate without sugar. Stevia seems to be one of the healthiest sugar substitutes, so that is what I choose. The Stevia product I used has Maltodextin list as the first ingredient. My understanding is that Maltodextrin is a filler that is used because Stevia is 300 times sweeter than sugar. The Stevia Extract in the Raw says that it can be used “cup for cup” in place of sugar for baking and cooking. This video is just about my experience with it.
I really want to minimize if not cut out sugar out of my diet. There are numerous Chocolate bars on the market that alterative sweeteners: Sucralose, Maltitol and even Stevia; but I can’t find sugarless White Chocolate.

It is so powerful in action, it is often called Russian penicillin. Propolis is a very sticky substance the consistency of bubble gum from dark to very dark in color. Honey Bees collect resin from certain trees and plants (mostly conifers) to make Propolis. Old beekeepers like me call it bee glue. The bees carry it home like they carry pollen back to the hive but you probably have not read that before. If you consume pollen, you probably have never been told there is Propolis in pollen. It is like gold in a silver mine. You probably have been told, those hard granules in the pollen are due to the pollen having been dried. A lot of those granules could be Propolis.
