How to extract the nutrients from herbs without using alcohol.

The water is brought to a boil, then removed from heat for 5 min before adding the herbs. This preserves the vitamins and nutrients in the herbs

When ground herbs are used, the sediment may or may not need to be removed. Some sediments may change the flavor in an undesirable way over time.

Sometimes ionic colloidal silver can be used as a preservative. I do not recommend it here because it is not compatible with some herbs.
