Phytosterols are compounds found in plants that resemble cholesterol. We like to top it with butter or other ingredients such as avocado, cheese and cherry tomatoes.
Ingredients
1cup (140g) sunflower seeds
1/3cup (45g) pumpkin seeds
1/3cup (50g) flax seeds or chia seeds
1/3cup(40g) sesame seeds
1/3cup (20g) shredded coconut
2Tbsp ground psyllium husk powder
2Tbsp tablespoons almond flour
1tsp salt
2cups (500ml) water
1. Preheat the oven to 160°C (300°F) and line 2 baking sheet with parchment papers.
2. Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl and add water.
3. Mix well until the water absorb and the mixture thickens.
4. Spread evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
5. Bake for 30minutes, take it out to cut into desired pieces, and put it back for additional 30-40 minutes or until dried completely.
*Tips – The crackers will stay crisp when stored in an airtight container in a dried place.
