[What is Citrus Aurantium]

Citrus aurantium L, belonging to the family Rutaceae, is widely distributed in China. Zhishi, the Chinese traditional name for Citrus aurantium, has long been a folk medicine in traditional Chinese medicine (TCMto improve indigestion and help stimulate the Qi (energy force).

1. Have the function of antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, hypolipidemic, vasoprotective and anticarcinogenic and cholesterol lowering actions.

2. Have the function of inhibiting following enzymes: Phospholipase A2, lipoxygenase, HMG-CoA reductase and cyclo-oxygenase.

3. Have the function of improving the health of capillaries by reducing the capillary permeability.

4. Have the function of reducing hay fever and other allergic conditions by inhibiting the release of histamine from mast cells. The possible activity of hesperidin could be explained by the inhibition of polyamine synthesis. (bitter orange extract)

Slime was a toy product manufactured by pillo, sold in a plastic trash can and introduced in the winter of 1976. It consisted of a non-toxic viscous, squishy and oozy green or other color material made primarily from guar gum.[1] Different variations of Slime were released over the years, including Slime containing rubber insects, eyeballs, and worms and Masters of the Universe Slime for Hordak’s Slime Pit playset in the 1980s.
The late 1970s also introduced a Slime Monster board game; the object of the game was to avoid having your game piece slimed on by a foot-tall plastic monster that had slime oozing from its mouth. Turmeric was one of the first wellness ingredients I added to my diet when I became vegan. Often called the ‘Sunshine’ Latte, this health drink does everything from help fight bloating to lifting your mood. The active ingredient curcumin is what gives turmeric its super food powers!

I make this weekly to maintain my healthy glow, strong immune system, and clear, balanced mind. Not to mention it’s crazy delicious! So if you’re feeling a little under the weather or looking to optimise your health in an easy, quick way, I highly recommend this.

In my recipe – you don’t need milk, just raw sunflower seeds + hot water. This makes it fresh and even tastier! But don’t fret, you can use pre-made milk if you want (notes below). Don’t forget, the SECRET to activating turmeric is adding a dash of black pepper. It’s been shown that adding black pepper increases the bio-availability (body’s ability to absorb curcumin) by 2000% (YES 2000%!!)

Ingredients*:
1 TBSP Sunflower seeds
1 TSP Turmeric Powder
Pinch of black pepper
1 TSP Cold Pressed Coconut Oil
1 Cup Hot water**
Honey (to taste)

*All ingredients are organic, GMO-free for maximum health benefits
**If you don’t have seeds, just add 1 cup of heated plant milk (almond, coconut, cashew etc)

Instructions:
Add all ingredients together in a high-speed blender and blend on high for 3-5 minutes (the longer you blend, the foamier it will be)

To Garnish:
I used organic edible rose buds & organic Maca Powder (super caramel-y flavor!)
