Introduction

Marigold flower belongs to compositae family and tagetes erecta. It is an annual herb and widely planted in Heilungkiang, Jilin, Inner Mongolia, Shanxi, Yunnan , etc.The marigold we used comes from Yunnan province. Based on the local situation of special soil environment and lighting condition , the local marigold have characteristics like growing fast,long flowering period ,high productive capacity and adequate quality.Thus, the steady supply of raw materials, high yield and reduction of cost can be guaranteed.

今週のレシピは、パンプキンビスコッティです。　

ハロウィンにぴったりな南瓜のスイーツをぜひ自宅で作ってみてください。卵を入れるレシピに比べると少し焼く時間が長くかかってしまいますが、サクサクの食感はビスコッティそのもの。きっと、満足できると思います。

生地にバニラを加えて、シナモンも小さじ１など多めに入れるとより市販のスイーツっぽくなりますが、南瓜の風味を楽しみたい場合は控えめにしましょう。

【材料　16本分】
・ 薄力粉　260g
・ アーモンド　40g（アーモンドプードルで代用可）
・ 豆乳　100g
・ かぼちゃ　100g
・ きび砂糖　100g
・ オイル　20g
・ かぼちゃの種　50g
・ ベーキングパウダー　小さじ1
・ シナモン　小さじ1/2

【作り方】
《1》南瓜を蒸して皮を取り除き、豆乳と一緒にミキサーにかけます。
《2》アーモンドをミルサーにかけて粉末状にします。
《3》全ての材料を混ぜ合わせ、打ち粉をして長方形に形を整えます。
《4》180℃で20分焼き、1cm幅に切り、天板に並べて再度20分焼きます。
《5》ビスコッティをひっくり返し、さらに20分焼きます。

This week’s recipe is “Pumpkin Biscotti”. Have you ever tried pumpkin biscotti for Halloween? If not, it’s time to give it a try! If you don’t mind the color of the biscotti turns light green, you could use the skin of pumpkin as well. Enjoy!

【INGREDIENTS makes 16 biscotti】

260g pastry flour (all purpose flour could be substitution)
40g almond powder
100g soy milk (or any kind on milk you like)
100g cane sugar
100g pumpkin
50g pumpkin seeds
20g oil
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 twp cinnamon

【INSTRUCTION】
1. Steam pumpkin and peel it off. Blend with soy milk.
2. Mix all the ingredients and dust flour onto a baking sheet, shape the dough into rectangle.
3. Bake at 350F/180C for 20 minutes.
4. Slice the dough into half inch thick, then bake 20 minutes more.
5. Turn the biscotti over then bake another 20 minutes.

A recently domesticated native North American fruit crop, the American cranberry, Vaccinium macrocarpon, is a diploid member of the Vaccinium genus of the acid-loving Ericaceae. The morphology and chemistry of the fruit are unique in contrast to other fruits. Fruit have hollow locules, contain benzoic acid, and are high in polyphenolic antioxidants, including unique A-type proanthocyanidins, which are beneficial to human health. Moreover, instead of fruity volatiles found in other fruit species, the major volatile is 1-ɑ terpineol. Relative to other crop species cranberry has undergone relatively little genetic improvement. Major breeding objectives are fruit rot resistance, heat stress tolerance and enhancement of phytochemical constituents.
